CLF's are better and more efficient than inc. old school. They cost a little more but even out in the end. Blue for veg and Red for flowers most definitely. The blue that is similar to the daylight or that sheen on the concrete you see at about noon. Red like when the sun sets and has that orange kind of reddish glow. I don't know about spectrum analysis but check out pics of HID's in action like a Metal Halide and a HPS. Try to get as close to that spectrum as possible.

the point of the incadescent is its a white spectrum, something cfls dont have here, so i would use it at the top for the penetration and stuff, and then 4 red/blue spectrum lights for the veg and flowering
