    Anyone seen this before?

I'm sure someone has but am just curious. The seed shell is still on the plant, the plants are about a week old and i have 2 plants like this. Should i leave it be? will it eventually push it off? Thanks in advance!

    Welcome to cann.com

Yeah the shell will sometimes stay on like that, the pic was a little hard to see but it looks kinda loose, if you can ease it off without hurting the leaves i'd do that, if it's stubborn just leave it and it'll fall off when it's ready.

    Good luck with your grow!

It's completely normal, but absolutely do NOT try and help it off. You are much more likely to break off the fragile head.

One more question, heres another pic of the one seedling i have that sprung nicely. Its starting to look a little odd on the leaves, some slight curling along with darker ends on the leaves (one end maybe even a little yellow). I'm using floragro 1/4 strength, ph'd water, drip system (3x a day for 30min), rockwool/Rinsed clay pelets, ~70-75 degrees and the seedlings are about a week old. I'm a first time grower so maybe i'm just a little over cautious? You guys are awesome, thanks in advance!

    Sorry for the bad pics.

Hey, this is my first post on Cann.com mainly because I've been doing more reading than advising cause...well, I've never grown before, reading up a ton before I do anything.

From what I've read from marihemp and here it seems as though you don't want to start nutes within the first couple weeks of growth, they say it causes stress and secondly may cause nute block if you're using too much for such a small plant.

I would say lay off the nutes for a week or two and see

    Also, what's the ph at?

    Temp. sounds fine

I really hope this helps man! Good luck!

Also, anyone correct me if I'm totally and utterly wrong, we're all here to learn and help

    Hey Tango,

    Here's a q of my own

For cloning you want the ph to generally be 5.8 - 6.2 right? Fairly high?

Or does the fact of "sativa being lower ph" and "indica being higher ph" have anything to do with the clones?
