    greenhouse grow with clones

    Hi All,

I have grown from seed before with success before but this is the first time I have tried growing clones from a dispensary. I have three one D. OG,one Apoth OG, and one trainwreak. They are in 3g pots with miracle grow garden soil mixed with earth worm casings. They are in a greenhouse. Its awfully hot here so that is my biggest worry for now even with the vents opened and a fan running during the day its still gets close to 100 in there. I'll be posting pictures soon.

luna! It's good to see you with your own log. You wear it nicely. Sounds like you have some really nice strains with some good sized buckets and fine soil, so you have a really good start! That is awfully hot, but I don't know a darn thing about greenhouses. It gets into the mid-90's easily where I am though, and MIQ doesn't seem to mind 1 bit. I guess you'll just have to see what they can take, but I am sure someone on this board has greenhouse experience and will be better able to give you much better advice and insight than me.

I'm really excited to follow your log, and I'm looking forward to pictures! Take good care out there!

    Jake,

Glad you found your way here. Right now it is 93 in the shade and over a 100 in the sun....ah desert living. I usually start my grows toward the end of Jan (the Swiss Miss I told you about were started in Nov I was experimenting with the strain to see if I could get a winter grow they survived but it grew so slow that I don't think they got to over a foot tall until late Jan) so that by the time July and Aug roll around with the high temps they are over 3' tall and mature enough to handle the heat. In the past any seeds I started later did not do well because of it so I am not too sure how the clones will do. I also have to be careful with the humidity in the GH but despite its drawback I love growing in a GH. It smells heavenly in there.

At least so far I haven't had the insect problem I had a couple of years back. I never figured out what it was that was killing my seedlings whatever it was it lived in the soil and would come out at night and chew up the leaves. It even got to the seedling when I placed an empty 3l bottle on top of them as protection.

Are you going to start a new grow log with the bag seeds you started?

Yeah, but you have that dry heat that isn't so bad, right? If you have a fan on them, then perhaps they will make it. Like I said, MIQ is enjoying the mid 90's heat with some pretty dang high humidity. If you have low humidity, then perhaps you can keep a bucket of water in the middle of the plants, so the evaporation will increase the humidity in the greenhouse?

But, at the end of the day if it is too hot to grow outside, maybe you could grow them indoors?

I've gone 4 for 4 on the bagbeans, and they are presently sitting in some jiffy pellets in a bowl with a bit of water. We'll see where they take me.

I'm interested to see what sort of advice you'll get about the extreme temperatures. Also, I'm interested in seeing how well those fine ladies do out there! I wish you much luck! And, I'm already looking forward to an update.

i got plant outside right now.....its 95F by 10am, RH of about 65% where i live, usually peaking around 103F...my plants have grown 6inch in 2 days outdoors. Some strains thrive in the heat. I would try some skunk strains. i couldnt even believe how big my skunk plant got in this heat. It also rains eveyday about 4 pm like clockwork.

    Jake,

LOL! I never got the dry vs humid heat once it get past 90 it all sucks IMHO(G). GH's lean towards high humidity so keeping the air moving is important. Inside really isn't an option aside from the fact that I really don't have a room I could use for growing I have cats who enjoy eating my plants(G)

Killa, I have 4 white widows in the GH with the clones I didn't do a grow log on them because they are already 5 months old. They are loving the heat a little too much the GH is 8' ft high but even after topping them when they hit the ceiling and listing after the secondary shoots hit the ceiling its still a problem....not that I am complaining(G)

    Hi All,

I wasn't planning on updating so soon but the clones seem to be quite happy in their new home and actually have new growth and its only been 5 days.

Jake I took a couple of shots of the ww in one you can see how large her fan leaves are.
