greenhouse grow with clones
Jake,
Thanks. The heat wave we were having has lessen some which has helped with the clones. I made some changes this year that has made a real difference. I moved the GH to an area that has some shade instead of giving them something like 8 hours of direct sun light they now get around 10 hours of partial sun. I also put a good size fan on a timer which has made a difference with the temps and the humidity.
WWs are one of my favorite strains I am hoping for a good yield this year. I would love sometime to be able to grow them outside and let them get as big as they want.....I have visions of myself on a ladder trying to look through my loupe(G)

greenhouse grow with clones
Hi All,
Well the girls have been growing the two have doubled in size the third is a tad slower but showing new growth. We are suppose to get into the triple digits this weekend so that is a bit of a concern.
One of the girls has some slight purpling on three of her lower stems and I wanted to know what you all think. Does it look like a nute issue?
Sorry about the poor quality of the pictures but hopefully the purple will show enough for some help.

luna, you should check the forum about the possible nute issue on the purple branches. I can't remember right now, but I know I have run across a few different threads which discuss that question.
Your girls look like they are stretching for the light. That greenhouse seems to really stretch the ladies out. Does that result in your bud sites getting more light, and developing bigger and better buds? I wonder what your WW harvest will yield?
I hope all is well with you.

Thanks Jake. I am now leaning towards the clone having a possible purple pheno instead of a nute problem since she is thriving she's already over a foot tall and the purple seems to be limited to only three stems the rest including the all the veins are green. I also fed them a light dose of Fox Farm and superthrive.
I probably won't be able to post any pictures for a couple of days my mom goes in for surgery tomorrow so I'll be spending my days at the hospital.
Last year's ww which was a smaller crop gave me a little over 2lbs after harvest so I have high hopes(G) I may have to pull one of the widows out of the GH and find a good outside location because I didn't tie her down far enough so she is pushing up against the GH roof. I probably should stop using 15g pots.

Time for more pictures. The first three are of the clones. They have been in the GH 2 weeks now and are noticeably bigger.
The third picture is of a surprise baby. I had pollinated a couple of buds on one of my Swiss Miss. I thought I have harvested all the beans she had to give me but obviously I missed one so this little baby just fell and germinated itself LOL!!!
The last picture is a bit of a tribute to this site. One the growing FAQ section there was the suggestion to place hydroton as a top layer in your potted plants so that the roofs will grow through out the soil even the last two inches and obviously it works. This is a male that I pulled out of the GH and removed the hydroton.

Beautiful plants...they look already much stronger and vigorous ....
It would be great to grow in a Gh, i really envy people who even have a small one.
Anyhow....nice log, i will follow the progress for sure...:hippy:

Thanks. Its a real small cheap GH I think I paid about $40 for it its 8x6x8. I just pulled the baby that rooted itself and put it in its own pot I know its probably too late in the season even for s. cali but I had to give it a chance(G)
I am really pleased with the clones so far. I was leary of them thinking they might be too fragile too delicate for someone like me to grow but when my local dispensary had them for $10 a pop I figured what the hell.....now there's a party in the GH(VBG)

Looks like your grow is going extremely well, luna! And, what a nice surprise that stray bean turned out to be, eh? That is fantastic! 2 pounds off 1 of your WWs is amazing! Sorry for all of the exclamation points, but there is a lot to be excited about in your log. Fine work you are doing with all of these ladies!
Also, I hope all is well with you and yours and that your mom's surgery was successful. I wish her a speedy and full recovery! Take good care, luna!

Jake,
Thanks. My mom is doing insanely well she is 80 and after major surgery on Monday for colon cancer she is already eating a clear diet and up and walking!
I put the surprise seedling in its own home we'll see where that one goes(G) I had to pull a widow out of the GH so she out in the wild(G) I just never got her tied down right so she was mashing herself against the roof and I was worried that if I kept her in there I'd end up with a bad case of bud rot. I'll probably drag my camera up to her new home tomorrow and post a picture. I'll have to be careful because she is near the male widow that I am keeping for a little bean making down the line.
I am thinking that I may end up having to transplant the clones in a few weeks. Its gonna get awfully crowded in the GH hopefully I won't have to pull anyone else yet lugging them up the hill is a real bitch!
