Most sativa's come from equatorial regions, where the normal photoperiod is close to 12/12. They NORMALLY grow that way...think about it!

If your're getting stretched spindly plants indoors under lights, your problem is not enough light not the photoperiod.

Indica's seem to give mixed results to 12/12 from seed, but worth the experiment if you like playing around.
