Like I said they just sprouted 2 days ago! But 1 looks to have fatter starter leaves then the others. so they look like a mix. But if we are gon grow from 12/12 they wont get any bigger than 36-56 inces.

Fa sho we should start our own "From Seed 12/12" grow log.

Really nice, simple post, too bad it's wrong info.

Most sativa's come from equatorial regions, where the normal photoperiod is close to 12/12. They NORMALLY grow that way...think about it!

If your're getting stretched spindly plants indoors under lights, your problem is not enough light not the photoperiod.

Indica's seem to give mixed results to 12/12 from seed, but worth the experiment if you like playing around.

    From what I gather,

If its a rudarelis, it will autoflower whenever it feels like it

some sources say certain strains will sex immediately and you will end up with a 1g-2g plant, while other strains will mature until it is ready to flower yielding an average of 10g-30g per plant

Hey dj, i've not tried this method but from reading plenty it seems different strains will sex at different times, but the majority seem to start showing pistils at around 3-4 weeks and I think thats a big problem with the method, the length of your grow isn't reduced by much For the first few weeks the plant just sits there under a reduced 12/12 lighting schedule growing at a reduced rate thinking I know it's time to flower but i'm too young and immature so i'm gonna keep growing slowly until i hit puberty :wtf:

It might be an idea to let the plants veg properly under 18/6 for two weeks first before switching to 12/12 (unless your a micro grower and want tiny plants) so they grow as quickly as they can while they're only vegging anyway??

    Peace

I want back thru my records to see if I had any large starts of indica from seed @ 12/12. No major grows except this interesting one.

Back in '72 I did an indoor grow of Alaskan Thunderfuck from beans.
    Seeds where started using 12/12.
At day 10, the photoperiod was increased 1/2 hour,
and every day 1/2 hour more was added.
At day 34 they are 24/0, stayed that way for 10 days.
At day 44, photoperiod decreased 1/2 hour,
and everday another 1/2 was subtracted.
Plants finished, buds matured by the time I hit 10/14,
    day 72.

BTW: back then I was using 8' T12 VHO power twist, Vita Lites, full spectrum floros, 8 of them.

    Revanche21;
Your premise of 1-2gm per plant, ain't bad if you have enough plants. I'm currently starting a small experiment using a 300watt LED grow light by Theoreme Innovation and two 120 site EZ cloners. 1-2 days of 24 hour light, then bang them into 12/12.
I think 3gm per site is possible...but we will see. But even at 2gm, if about 200 make it out of 240 (very conservative here) that woud be 400gms! From 300watts. I'm only doing this for shits and giggles while I build a new grow system... to give the new LED light something to do.

It will take almost twice as long as 16/8 or 18/6 to veg. You should always start with vegging nutes until it is time to flower and then use bloom. I think at that rate your plant will want to flower after two or three months. It will do it on it's own I believe but it will have to go through a full vegetative cycle. The thing is that plants in nature get at least 14 hours of light and usually 16 during the prime vegging season. So....maybe even just adding two hours might be a good idea just to speed up the process.
