MMJ CO OP farmer is TOTALLY confused...HELP!!!

GREETINGS and kind budz for all!

i grow for my own co op but its not as sophiticated as it sounds. see i grow for my family there are 4 of us now my son and i live here is LA and my sister in law and her son live in San Diego. our lab is nice we run 4K of HID lights gas and humidity and temp control in a CAP ebb and flo.

when i started all this 3 years ago i was told that i could grow 12 plants for medicinal use (6 "mature and 6 "immature"). further more that i could also grow for others in a "CO OP". in recent weeks ive been approached by a legit dispensery to also grow for some of their chronically ill members BUT the owner of the dispensery himself has told me that this amt was in error and that i would only grow 6 plants per member of the CO-OP. he has also stated that i was toooo close to a private prep school.

ya know ive been down twice and i dont need any shit from the man just because i want to exercise my right to grow buds for my family. so im askin PLEASE will someone telll me what the deal is with how many babies i can have and the difference between "mature" and "imature" or if my proximity to the school is an issue?? and what about my sister living in another county???

also i would like to know if LA county has a website that outlines for us the guidlines for cultivation - location and possession / transportation.... i just dont get it...WHY have they made following the LAW so hard???

    THANKS

There are no limits at the moment prop 215 was found to be guidlines not strict limits. That doesnt mean you can grow 500 plants though just be smart keep it low as you can although it sounds like your doing a SOG set up with tables but w.e. Yes the school would be a problem if you were caught it would create MMS (Mandatory minimum sentence) on a federal level atleast.

Less than 50 kg felony 5 years $250,000
    50 to 100 kg felony 20 years $1,000,000
    100 to 1,000 kg felony 5 - 40 years $2,000,000
1000 kg or more felony 10 years - life $4,000,000
To a minor felony double penalty double penalty
Within 1,000 feet of a school felony double penalty double penalty

So, move the school! That sounds bad! Before you grow for 'others' outside family--you need to find out all those things ASAP! Should have before you told them you are growing. Now, I see why, everyone say's-don't tell anyone! When I went to my Dr. for recommendation, 2 employees there both grow year round and neither knew, until I approached them about growing, etc. and they had worked together a long time. So, there must be more reasons, people keep their mouth that shut in this state! Good luck to you! Glad I am in the country! I think Storm Crow seems to have a lot of info on that stuff, but, she is probably at work now! Surely there are others, I've read some good stuff on this. But, not real specific!

Perhaps you need to see a lawyer that represents MMJ case's! Usually, a consultation fee is nothing like the fine's! I was told by someone, you do need to have a copy of each person's recommendations handy and be their "designated grower." To legally gro on your property for others! But, it kind of sounds like, you aren't no matter what you do! Sure feel for you! I'd be upset! Please let us know what you find out! And stay out of the big house! This so sucks, I really think some legal things are so much worse!:wtf: Maybe, ask if anyone knows one you can go to, or a site to search for one in!

Yeah cali is still a bit of a mess on limits. It should not be done county by county like some are trying to do. Look at the research and set reasonable limits state wide. We're still working on limits here in Washington. Was supposed to be done July 1st but as usuall the beaucracy rolls slowly

technically, the CA state laws on medical marijuana don't have a 'set number of plant limits', your amounts are left up to your Doctor's Recommendation ... (mine recommends 1.5 ounces per week, so I could easily justify more than 6 plants, but things would be sticky if I had LOT more) ... the limits are just something some counties and towns dreamed up (doesn't hold legal water, if you are rich enough to fight it) ... BUT, in my personal situation, I don't have the money to 'win' in the court system, or the inclination to piss off a District Attorney that, (so far), doesn't hassle medical MJ patients/homegrowers needlessly ... I just follow my county's rules, and so far, so good ...
