The higher your ratio of dark hours to lit hours, the quicker your plants will ripen, and the lower your final weight will be. 12/12 is, for most folks, pretty close to the intersection of these two curves.

Beneficial to run shorter photo+ cycles? Sometimes...for some folks...I couldn't say for you.
rhizome Reviewed by rhizome on . Hey Stinky! I got a question for some experienced growers. I have a buddy that tells me I should cut my lights down to 11/13 or 10/14. Is there anything bennifical from doing this. I understand that later in the year the days are shorter, but I didnt think that 10/14 was a good idea.
