    7 fingered leaves and pollen?

    Please help?!

I was reading about the Hermie effect and...

Basicly this is going to sound stupid. I checked on my plant today (as usual) Its got 5 fingerd leafs an stands about 2ft just over. I have noticed yellow spots on one of the fingers near the top and another near the bottom. There is hardly any BUT 7 fingerd leafs have just apeard obviously at the top of the plant. Apparently that isnt good as they give out pollen......... Is that what it could be? And what should i do? Cut the 7finger leafs off and bring it into bud? Please Please Please help befor it gets worse Please!

    7 fingered leaves and pollen?

I moved this to its own thread as it is a specific question.
7 fingered leaves are normal on almost all strains.
    Yellow spots are not.
Fill out the troubelshooting form at the top of 'problems' and give some info on your setup and environment.

    7 fingered leaves and pollen?

Well thanks for the quick reply!

To be honest this is how it goes.. (Im not wasting time)

Its only been a couple of weeks since i decided i wanted to grow for a hobby. As in have my own setup and environment.. Ive got all excited about it and cant wait to go and buy my kit! Then im going to grow from A loft. Anyway.. This plant im growing was just a random grow and i wasnt really expecting results as it hasnt had any food, only water. So i know it could be the pH ballance and alot of other things!! Yes im an idiot but read on... I planted the seed about a month an half ago maybe 2 into a decent sized pot with regular soil from the ground. Its been Outside ever since growing inside a mini plastic greenhouse. Like i said its about 2ft tall just over and looks really healthy apart from that small patch of yellow on a couple of fingers. I was reading the growing faqs about Hermie and got the completely wrong idea. This is how much i didnt know, I thought my plant was a male because it has five fingerd leafs. Ive only noticed today the small yellow patches appearing and that its growing seven finger leafs and wonderd whats happining to it((i was going to cut the 7 fingerd ones off)) as i heard it ruins the plant or something but what a load of bollocks. It still looks in great shape even though it hasnt been fed but until i get all my equipment *month or so* i want to try and save this one from death and bring it into bud. Would i be able to start feeding it this late? and if i do cure the small yellow patch *doubt it* Is the average night cycle 12/12? Sorry for the essay and thanks for your help!

Were you asleep in biology class? Leaves do NOT produce pollen, seven fingered or 57 fingered. You need male flowers for pollen to be produced. Now there are plenty of pictures of male flowers and female flowers, so I won't go into the differences except to say that male flowers look like tiny footballs and are found where the leaf stem meets the plant stem.

I would strongly suggest that you do some reading in the grow section, then fill out the form if you don't find your answer there.

Dirt from the ground... likely that it is holding too much water, or just plain hungry. You got pics? SOME yellowing of low leaves is normal, but NOT MUCH. We'll get you and your plant straightened out, lol!

Read the link in my siggy and that will at least point you in the right direction.

I did what you did, in excitement, reading all the posts. Fortunately, the old bag seeds I found, did nothing! Now, I have been reading everything I can in the grow logs, etc. There is so much information here, you'll bless yourself, maybe even save this little baby and really have a nice grow when you are set up to do it! Good luck with this one! I am not brave enough to try again, until I have all the stuff I need. But, the variety is endless here! The pictures-a miracle! Sometimes, I just veg out looking at the fine photography! Look forward to yours!:hippy:

Hey thanks! An ive just took some crappy pictures with my crappy cam. Really blury like i was shaking or something. If you look in the bottom left corner pic, you can see a small patch of yellow. That is near the top of the plant. Now there is another finger near the bottom that has the same but small yellow patch .I been reading the grow guides since work an wow you lot know your stuff huh? Its like 9:45pm over here an i been on here since like 12:30. Facinating if thats how you spell it! I could read this site for days an not get bored. Cool. My girl is going to let me grow in the loft on one condition! She gets half the stash. Which is fair enough i suppose. Im in it more for the challenge and beauty and dont really need to make money from it. If my mates are in need then maybe but i would love to save a vacume jar of it for like over a year and see what all the fuss is about. It just has to be done.

Looks like minor physical damage, and not from one of the species of pests that you would be really worried about.
Plant looks BUENO! She'll want a bigger pot within the next week or 2 though.

Thanks! Would it be ideal to change from soil to coco?

I don't recommend it. Coco brings its own set of challenges, and I think that just sticking to one style, unless you plan to do full soilless, with the right nutes and watering system, is the way to go.
