Grey/Black Leaves?

So my lady has been doing terrific since I took her from a pot and stuck her in the ground. If I had a camera I'd take some shots of this problem but here it is the best way to describe it.

It seems that the tips of the new growth on about 3-4 branches seem to be turning a grayish black color and dead. It's only the very leaves of the new growth starting from the middle. I read the Nutrients Faqs thread and the only thing this seems to match is the lack of Boric acid. Can anyone confirm my speculation from this description? Thanks

That's not one I'm familiar with but pics are helpful. I've seen deep purple coloration come out on outdoor plants in the way you describe, but not at the tips of the leaves. I hope it's not a fungal or bacterial problem; at least Serenade is not going to hurt your plants at all if you apply it preventatively, and will help if that is fungus.

I really haven't seen it anywhere before or online and can't find any pics. I wish i had a digital to make it more helpful. But I checked on her today and the parts which were grayish/black are now brown and dead but the new growth under those areas looks fine. Baffling but I'll keep an eye on it. Thanks for your thoughts stinky.
