This is the second article you've posted since May that claims
that the Taliban had eliminated opium growing in Afghanistan. The Taliban stopped opium production for only one year, in 2000-2001, right before the United Nations sent inspectors. The year before, they were producing 75% of the world's opium supply. They were completely uncooperative with the United States after 9/11, and brought the invasion upon themselves. When a country attacks for no reason, they deserve to have more casualties than what they were were responsible for inflicting on their target(s). I don't think they'll try lauching any more attcks on U.S. soil out of Afghanistan again, unless we allow them to.
