Thanks for that link TheMetal1, going by whats been said on that thread I should be ideally aiming for 5000 lumens per sq ft But the thread doesnt make mention of what a 1000w MH will generally produce, does anyone know this?

anbesol, yeah i thought it might be overkill too, the bulb is *massive* but I guess its better to have too much than not enough. Plus, Its just lying around in a box somewhere so I might as well make use of it.

I plan on setting up a grow using a roughly 6' x 6' x 6' grow tent. I have spare lights lying around the garage, 1000w MHs and 600w HPSs. I remember that the MH is better for veg and the HPS for flowering but I cant work out how many of these suckers I should be using on my plants. My second question is I am still yet to get my exhaust fan and charcoal filter. Can anyone advise on what size I should be using for a Rating: 5
