Dang! Wouldn't it be a federal offense to open someone else's Fedex package? Seems like it should be. That person should go to jail instead. Or does that law only apply to US Postal service?

Too bad the 4th amendment stuff doesn't hold up here... evidence obtained through wrongful search and seizure can't be used. The package was wrongfully (and possibly illegally) opened, so there should be no penalty for the intended recipient and no warrants to intercept any more of his mail.

If this was a Customs issue I'd totally understand that the dude would be royally screwed, but nah it was all fudged by that moron that just had to see what was in the box... such dishonesty... very sad.

Good to know more of how the law really works.... against us.
