I know its a bit off topic, but this threads title prompted me to ask this... i always wonder why since long ago the inhabitants of u.s.a. call themselves americans, and call the u.s.a. "america"?
From what i know, America is the name of this entire continent, from the northernest parts of Canada to the southernest parts of Argentina/Chile... and all inhabitants of this entire continent could be rightfully be called "americans"... (even if most of them wouldnt like this... )
