Believe me, from experience, the feds/government/law enforcement are never going to "give in," and just stop enforcing every law they have the power to enforce. It is what they grew up wanting to be remember? I agree that it would make it more difficult, but I know that they would never just stop because it is too hard. It would send a message to all criminals that the police have a "breaking point." Do you think that if child abduction increased 100x they would just stop trying to make arrests?
- I know that there is NO COMPARISON between growing cannabis plants and kidnapping!!! Simply pointing out that they are both LAWS and usually both felonies. Police enforce LAWS. In my opinion, the only way we can rest easy that our acres and acres of newly planted cannabis will go untouched by law enforcement, is to change the law that they are required to enforce. Plain and simple. As much problems I have had with law enforcement, I still realize that they serve a purpose. In order for the majority of the population to remain safe (which ALL Americans have the right to be) the police MUST enforce laws that our Government has put into place. It is not their fault that in between arresting drunk drivers or stopping domestic violence they happen to find someone smoking or stumble on someone's plants. It is their job to enforce the law, and by doing so, they are putting food on their dinner table. It is primal instinct that we do anything possible to survive, police are not immune, and they HAVE to arrest people to stay employed, make money and survive (as much as we disagree with a lot of arrests they make). Now, without going too deep, I have experienced serious flaws in the law enforcement and judicial systems first hand so I KNOW that both are not perfect. But... to me, the only way that we will ever get the police to stop enforcing a specific law that we disagree with... is to simply get the law changed.
