    New DWC first time hydro

So This is my 3rd grow overall. The soil thing was cool but I like trying new things out to see what is the best. With that being said I went o my local Hydro store told them I want to try hydro out so they give me a kit of stuff. I started the seeds out in soil and waited for them to get to 2 inches or so and then put them in the water. for the first week not much happend.I figured it was stress but now, a week later everything is starting to grow but they are yellowing so I dont know where to start. My ph is 6.5. I am using earth jucie for nutes. and yea if somone can tell me what i am doing wrong that would be great.

They are too young for nutes. They only need like a carbo and a root stimulant and a b-1. And in an incredibly low dose.

So your saying that i need to cut the nutes to like 1/5 of the strength? Or is there a speical nute formula that i can buy.

I'd say your PH is too high at 6.5, go for 6.0

Yeah use 1/5th strength ferts, formulex is good for very young plants.

So the color is coming back to the plants, thanks to all that helped. When do I start full nutes? My thinking is every 3 inches of growth add more than the last time, am I on the path with my thinking?

pH worked good for me within 5.5-6.0 fluctuating, works best is what I hear.

no nutrients until they look like they need it! (Usually 5 blade leaf)

hey man they should grow fine for a couple weeks without any nutes. i made the mistake of adding nutes too early and got nute burn on a bunch of leaves. im planning on waiting about 3 weeks from sprout to add any nutes.

Glad to hear they're recovering mate, it's kinda tricky at first working out the strength of the nutes, all i can tell you is how i've done it in my bubbler, this is my first hydro grow btw. I started with like 1/4 strength, week after half strength, 3rd week full strength. But i guess the speed you up the nutes is gonna depend on how fast your plant grows, so you gotta go with what you think (or a little under to be safe) and increase it as you think the plant needs it.

So this grow is starting to be a real challenge. As I am recovering from my fert problem heat is starting to stress them out. I was on a 24 hr lighting but moved it to 18 and my lights turn on at 4:00pm so that way the nights keep it cooler. I am keeping my ferts to almost zero.
