You would mean curing. Drying is just part of it.

The box is fine just get some good air circulations so as not to get any mold or fungus.

The next step is to cure. Drying can take a few days or a week. Then place them in a large jar. Most like glass jars. Lay the jar on it's side in a dark cool place. Once a day open jar for 30 minutes or if you see condensation open jar and let it evaperate then close. After a week you should be good to go. It is best stored this way too.

It will mellow out over time like a fine wine. I like it best after 3 or 4 weeks, then I vacume seal to keep it longer.

Too many selling like to dry it bone dry fast to get rid of it quick. Quality drops and the trichome crystals fall off also. Mostly why I don't buy. I like it like cigar or pipe tobacco. You get more smoke and a longer burn time.

Hope this helps. You can burn as soon as it's dry. It's just better cured.

I have used a dehydrator to dry quick. Too quick. If it gets too dry, put a few green fresh leaves in with it and keep a watch on it . It will put back just enough so you don't have harsh bone dry smoke.

Sorry man, I should of said. You don't want to hurt the buds. So just enough as to not smash them. I can jamb a bunch in a gallon jar but it's really only about half full. You want them to breath without tearing them up. We want pretty buds to show off.

Remember the lone rider get's a little higher.
and stay's a little safer. LOL
