help required saving a rare hippy strain eye
Hello good people
recently given 3 ageing mother plants, one widow, one unidentifyable and one old hippy strain called eye(mindblowing). Its the palm tree like plant in the pics. The eye is the only reason i took them in as you cant buy this strain and its amazing, crystals coat the buds like sand.
Watering them with fawcet water ph'd correctly
i suspect the previous owner nuted them to death so i have started to flush the system. with the plants came a load of nutes like rhizonic, oxyplus, vita link grow a and b, fulvic, formulex, sensizyme, but not a clue what to use. Looking at the plants i suspect they are lacking in something but dont know what...presuming its not in the lot i got unless they were fed to death,,,
comments please

Welcome to cann.com bob and congrats on getting some pretty good looking plants!
The last pic looks like it needs a bit more nitrogen to me, but the others i'm really not sure about and it makes it harder to diagnose a problem as you've only just got them and don't know exactly what they've been getting fed.
Can i suggest you put this question in the plant problems section, you'll probably get more responses as it might not get noticed in here, there's some charts and info there, a form too if you can answer as much of it as you know, it helps everyone get a better understanding of the plants environment so they can give you a better answer. I'm sure one of the experts will be along to help soon.
Good luck!

Those plants are WAY too big for those pots.
Get them in 3 gallon pots of nice LIGHT soil with plenty of extra perlite. A mix of 2-3 sacks MG organic choice plus 1 sack perlite is okay if home depot is your only option, but look at garden centers for other types of potting soils.
Don't use pots that have built-in drip trays. In fact, drill EXTRA drain holes.
The yellow low leaves are probably a combination of N deficiency or lockout from not enough fertilizer and /or not enough root space (I'm voting for root space), and not enough light.
I'll stick this over in problems and merge them.

but seriously, she's absolutely right- what those plants are lacking is dirt.
If you really do have an old heirloom strain, I'd think about getting some cuttings rooted up, so that losing any one plant is no big thing- ya gotta lotta wood there.

I want to know more about this strain.
We have a strain here in Oregon called "I-Strain". I wonder if it's the same?

Taking clones now isn't going to make the clones crappy for evermore; if they survive at all they should be able to recover.
Re-pot promptly, bring that plant back to health, and then take cuts.
With a 2-3 foot plant, you have no choice but to run HID lights. Light penetration with flouros is less than a foot. MH in veg (that is what you have right now) and HPS for flower.
Read the link in my sig, then read it again. It will point you in the right direction.

hi all
thanks for all the sweet advice. I am a bit gutted i have to go away tomorrow to see the very old's so panicking about getting a dripper system sorted before i have to leave tomorrow: Till Tuesday; repotting and cloning will just have to wait.
Was thinking cloning most of the top, under the flouro, and then throwing the battered mothers under a 250watt HPS in fresh 3-4 gall buckets with lots of fluffy perlite and vermiculite. Call it curiosity's sake; epsom salts...
A further questions if i may?
Watering?? how much a day for these old ones??? daily quantity per plant please save me working it out cos im on the clock.
RESPECT
