Flavoring your own joints?
i can imagine that the clove gave it a sort of spicy "christmas-y" flavor. My friend smoked a pack of clove cigs once, it disgusted me, and i almost threw up when he smoked one around me, i just feel that clove is not a spice that people were meant to use, it is just disgusting.

Ok, I've got another Idea to put to test. I wonder if I squeezed a few drops of tangerine onto a q-tip and laced the paper with it's juice, then let it dry completley before smoking. I cant imagine a bad result. I'm definatley trying that one today.

Ok I got a jay saturating right now with some tangelo peels in the baggie. I laced it with a small amount of it's juice and let it dry before i put it in the baggie. I'll open it up and try it tonight in a few hours.

i believe its the oils of the peels that give it the aroma and flavor, so wouldnt you want to remove the zest of the citrus, then squeeze that to remove the oils, which you would then want to rub onto the joint?
just a thought.

Actually I think I will try that too. I'll press the oils out of the orange peel and swab it over the jay with a q-tip.
I smoked the first jay and the flavour was mild but other people around me said they definatley smelled the orange in the 2'nd hand smoke. I think a better result will come from just the peels themselves.

if you roll the orange around on a table or surface for a few seconds first, then score the peel, without going through the peel, you can actually get some of the oils to leech out of the skin of the fruit. I dont think you would need much, but there are many different methods.
and thats cool that it covers the wasted smoke, it atleast helps to cover the smell if it is a concern for you.
