If it rains regularly in your area the plant and leave it alone method works well, provided you planted in good soil in a sunny location away from pine trees (acidic soil).

Even with this method, one must still make a few visits to remove weeds, apply fertilizer (probably twice in vegetative, once in flower) and a trip to remove the males, etc.

The less visits the better, as trails are not as visible, stealth is maintained.

But this only works if it rains at least twice a week or so!
