You in hydro? 6.6 is a high pH for that, that's what you would want in a soilless setup. And judging EC on an organic often fails- the organic nutrients don't register the same as chemmy ones on your EC meter.
I'd only use fish emulsion and similar organic goos if you are familiar with organic techniques, especially in hydro- the chance of gumming up your system is much higher. As a soil fert, I've given it in veg as a N supplement when my plants look N deficient and I'm certain it's not a pH problem or something else. It also works to turn a bloom fert into a veg fert in a pinch- your average bloom fert is fine in veg too, if you use it at 1/2-2/3 strength and supplement it with fish emulsion. But again, you should be familiar with growing and diagnosing sick looking plants.
I guess fish emulsion is one of those things, lol. It's great stuff; use it with care by the 'less is more' philosophy, and it is hard to screw up. If your leaves look dark, dull, and droopy, stop and flush- you've given too much N.

So far so good. This stuff is an excellent source of organic N. It is definetly not one you can pre mix for future use due to the smell similiar to rotting carcases:rastasmoke:

Fish is stinky for inside but plants love it. If it is close by I feel sorry for you. Also I think it attracts pests. Other than that fish is great and it is actually my preferred vegging fertilizer - I just don't use it because I like to breathe. I use bat guano tea. No smell and a natural fungicide.

I have yet to have a problem with any kind of flies myself, although my grow box is air tight and the air intake and exaust vents are both filtered so I doubt I will, none the less a few little nats arent going to hurt your grow. The bugs outdoors in nature are the ones you have to watch for and a lot of growers I've talked with all have had problems with holes being eaten all over the fan leaves and have not seen or found the reason for this. I on the other hand have caught a few culprets in the act of gathering leafy material from an outdoor grow I once did. the 2 most common flying insects that will chew holes in your leaves are Hornets and paper nest building wasps and believe me a hemp paper nest is a hell of a lot stronger than most.:rasta:
