There is no fullproof way of dealing with nuisance animals it seems....
I've been on other forums and that seems to be the official conclusion... more or less.

A couple of tricks i read about on these forums:

peeing around your plot
fencing and such
spreading hairdog all over (easily obtainable)
coyote urine
a fishing wire set at deer nose level all aroud your plot (the idea is that the deer will touch the wire with its nose and not seeing what it is it will be frighten and run away)
using human hairs
going to your plants at least once a week to spread human sent
instaling some traps (aimed at scaring the animal,not hurt it)
spreading moth balls

those are just some i remember off the top,i know there is plenty more...

Best way IMO is to be there as often as possible,they are affraid of humans.

First, has anyone been successful in outdoor growing in the northeast of the United States? (if so I'd like to ask a couple questions) Second, are there any alternatives to warding off animals such as rabbits, groundhogs etc. (but also a lot of deer) from the crop other than a fence (I live near the woods and want to try to avoid using fences to avoid attracting attention as I will have multiple grow spots, and also to reduce cost Rating: 5
