    First Post...Please Get Me Started

I need help in getting started on this project and I'm pretty sure there is enough people here who have plenty of expierience and knowledge that would greatly benefit me. I understand there are many factors involved in growing but im looking for good round about estimates. I'm looking to grow maybe 15lbs a year. What would be the best setup to do so? What exact equipment would i also need?

I suppose it depends on what strain, stealthiness, budget, and available space.

So my question to you is all of the above?

as far as strain im not particularly sure yet. its definitly going to be some kickass shit lol. i know indicas grow faster than sativas but im not exactly sure im definitly up for suggestions also. As far as top secret goes i dont really haveta be on any james bond type stuff as im going to be living alone so whatever space best fits the garden thats where its going. I'm not sure if some places are better than others but its definitly going to be grown indoors and as far as budget i'm able to spend a nice penny on equipment. My main focus is that it comes out right. Any ideas?

First off go by a indoor grow book from your local store. AFTER you read that come back and talk to us if you are still intersted. 15 pds a year..I would go with 3 1000 watts on DWC or soil if you want taste.

    Ok,

I would start in a closet. Something about.... 4'x4'x8', typical closet. Then eBay has awesome prices on lighting equiptment. For a space that size you can use just about any wattage you wanted. I would start with a 400w MH for veg and a 600w HPS for flower. Wal-Mart has these emergency camping blankets that run about $2a piece and ar 84"x84" or somethin, they're huge. Get a couple of those and line the walls with those as a reflective material. Your gonna need goood ventelation also.. Again while you are on eBay look up some blower fans, get the ones that push 250+ cfm, that will insure good exhaust and heat exchange.

As far as strains. I would start with something like indica. They mature faster and grow shorter. there are millions of websites to choose from or if you just have some bagseed from a decent bag of weed try those. If you get a good mother start cloning her. Cheaper that way. If you want to buy some seeds off the net then go with something that has a good harvest ratio. Most plants can produce close to 16oz a plant. if you have four plant in flower at a time and 4 plants in veg that are 2-4 weeks from flower. Then you can harvest well over what you need.

Do a little research on what strain you would prefer and look into some of the prices for stuff. Like hydro or soil. If you go with soil.... "FoxFarm" is the ABSOLUTE SHIIT!!!

Good Luck, and keep us posted!:greenthumb:

You should plan a space that is 4x8x6feet tall.
    Run 2000 watts in there.
Exhaust at 200+ cfm with a 6-8" duct and carbon filter. Run the lighting exhaust so that you have filter-light-short duct-light-short duct- blower- filter. If you run a rigid carbon filter and only use one, put it on the exhaust end to dampen blower noise.
Run a commercial indoor strain such as BigBud, Northern Lights, Papaya, or Power Plant.
Keep a second room for your mother plants and clones.
Plan to run SOG in yoru flower room, flowering ~25 rooted clones per light in one gallon pots.
You can grow monster plants, but you waste time and nutes putting on lumber. If you don't care about plant count, run many small plants with no veg time.
    Inject CO2 for more yield.
Read the link in my siggy.

    Have you ever grown before?

What she wrote is not a step in the right direction, it is the right direction.
Follow that to a T and definately read the link in her sig. I read it once every two weeks or so.

There is a lot of very good information here. Read it and learn, keep in mind though, I 'aint gonna grow it for you.
