New to this whole growing thing... Summer's way too dry in this town and I'm not gonna be spending $200+/month on bags to stay happy.
I do have some old Infinity QA's laying around. I'd like to keep things small for a first grow just to see how it all feels.
Could I get away with using the speaker (about 1.5-2' H) throughout the entire veg/flowering process if I kept the plant small, or do most just use the speaker for veg?
Obviously I'm looking to get some yield. Don't mind if it's on the low side for the first grow.
Any tips would be appreciated. :rastasmoke:stepowob Reviewed by stepowob on . Speaker Box Grow New to this whole growing thing... You are going to need something at least 36" in height. Or you wont get the height you need. try making a rubbermaid grow box. Heres a few pics of mine. If you need info on how to make one go to the grow room setup faq section of this site and look for the DIY Rubbermaid Grow Box, Thanx to BodomChildrenOf

Appreciate the reply. I looked into the Rubbermaid box and figured I'd try and go for something a bit more inconspicuous for just a 1-plant grow. That seems to be the easiest way to go about it, though.
Thanks:smokin:

One plant in a 2' area your first time will yield about 3-7 smokeable dry grams.
Is this worth your time?
If you got caught what are the consequences?
Getting kicked out of the house or thrown in jail over one plant in a speaker just isn't worth it is it?

You might as well be questioning every other person on these growing boards, brah. I live in an extremely liberal college town in a house with four good friends. I appreciate the concern, but this doesn't really seem like the place to be dissuading any size grow.
Is it 'worth it' for commercial growers to face 15+ years in federal prison? Of course not, but growers are gonna grow.

If you're looking for yield go all out or don't bother, I'm not saying don't do it on the cheap but if you're going to do it you might aswell make it work the effort and you say you can't afford to spend so much on bud, so you must consider
If you spent the money on marijuana would you get more than if you grew if it is then do it if not don't bother.
I did my grow for about £160($300) including bills, lights (even got an HID) seeds, compost, nutes, reflective sheeting, ventilation and i did the maths it worked out at about £8($16) an ounce. So in that sense it was worth it
. But make sure everyone you live with knows you're growing it can really fuck things up if your missus doesn't know about your growing activities and she finds out there could be hell to pay.
