Pruning, cutting, topping...?
Hello, I have six outdoor plants ranging in height of 36" to 16", I was told that I should top them to make them bushy. I would like to try the FIM style, but will that make all the difference? I was told also to cut the branch and that two will grow from where I made the cut. My question is where do I cut the branch? Right where it comes off the node? half way between the leaf and the node? on the little leafy thing just above the branch as it comes off the node? Would someone please show me maybe on a diagram, where the cut needs to be made?
Thank You, I appreciate your time.

Pruning, cutting, topping...?
the fim isnt really topping... you leave a bit so the the remaining of the top grows alongside the secondary stems... this makes for a lot of lower growth...
topping you remove the main stalk above the 5th node... (where the stem and leaves converge) the will cause lower growth but the top two shoots will grow faster than th rest...
what I like to do is fim sativas... I've got one with 5 tops

From each side of the nodes I have a main leaf branch, then growing from just above that branch from the same node there is another smaller branch, then on each side of where that smaller branch is growing from the node is another little leaf.
Which branch do I cut and where do I make the cut?
Does anybody have a diagram or detailed picture on where to cut these branches?
Thank you.
