I have talked to a couple friends, and dont put that moldy plant parts in your hash trimmings. They both say, Toss it! Do not ever smoke moldy bud!

As for taking your plants early, I dont know. I am taking all of mine this week, as we are gonna get some frost comming up for a few days. All of my girls are cloudy with a bit of amber.
As long as they are somewhat cloudy, you can smoke it and get a good head high. Or do like you said, save for hash.
