here are some pics. the brown looking stuff in my leaves,,what is this? and these holes I think are spider mites but I do have the bugs uder control know but do have to spray the plants down every 2 days or they come back. Any suggestions?

the top 3 pics is exactly whats wrong with my plants, (my camera not as good as yours) I'm thinking a bug but I dont see any live bugs do you see bugs(mites etc..) on your plants? I have the post "need 2nd opinion" close to yours asking for help. I have 1 plant in a bucket, not in the ground & its the only 1 thats not affected. I'm going to give this "Ortho Max Lawn & Garden" that you put on the end of the hose & spray, its just been raining a lot is S. Tex. & it would wash away, I think some sun is coming our way so I'll let you know what happens.

The white trails are leaf miners and the holes look like caterpillars or beetles.
Try misting with neem oil to make the plants' leaves unappetizing to bugs.
Don't mind walrus; he's mad he got banned for spamming, and he's been doing what he does best this evening.

ok I ihave did some research on leaf miners and there is no way to kill the larva as it is inside the leaf. What is the best way to cut my leaves off that have these without hurting my plant? Where do I cut it at

I'd really just use either neem oil to make the pest stop feeding because the taste is so bad, or pyrethrin to kill it.
If you want to try to physically remove it, just cut out the part of the leaf with the damage on it, assuming that the bug is somewhere adjacent to the damage. Use sharp scissors, and do it on a very dry day. If your plant is quite small, just leave it alone.
Remember the outdoors is full of both insects and plants, and somehow they all grow!

The bottom 2 pics are exactly what mine look like. Someone said they look like caterpillars or beetles, but i havnt seen any caterpillars and maybe 1 or 2 cucumber beetles on each plant. On the other hand, my plants are completely covered with leafhoppers (the little wedge shaped insect that fly and are green or brown). I was told they dont make holes in foliage......is this true? any help is much appreciated.
