Yeah, this is screwed up. The original punitive damages were set at 4.5 billion, knocked down to 2.5 billion on appeal, and now knocked down to 0.5 biliion on appeal to the Supreme Court. Maybe if Exxon's tanker captains were as good as its lawyers this disaster never would have happened.

Just when you start to think " hey , maybe the 'state of things' isnt really all that bad " Exxon made 2.5 billion in 2 days last quarter.
