Nitrogen triggers a 'grow leaves' response.
The reason you have heard ST is good for rooting is its use as a transplanting solution. The thiamine in it helps reduce shock to the plant. But that is for plants with established roots. You need IAA or IBA or another root hormone, and plain water, and rooting medium for the basics. You can get fancy with cloning solutions but I'd go with the hydroguard in the cloner and cuttings dipped in dip-n-gro for the highest chance of success. Don't forget to monitor your water temperature.
stinkyattic Reviewed by stinkyattic on . Budding a mother Here is what I was thinking about doing. I have a plant from bagseed that I rescued from the window, growing in dirt currently under 4 40w flouro's (2warm, 2cool). I want to switch to an aero system, so what I wanted to do was to take about 8 clones from this plant. Root them in a bubble cloner, then grow them in the aero system. I don't want to have 2 veg rooms at the same time, so I was going to flower the dirt plant after the clones have rooted. I have not seen many people doing this so I Rating: 5
