some basic questions
hey guys, i've been smoking for a reasonable amount of time, almost a year now, but lately, i've wanted to try cooking. i've recently heard of a recipe where you simply place bud over cheese on a rits and microwave, and a recipe like this seems reasonable, but before i try cooking simple recipes, i have some questions
1. do the cannabinoids need to be heat activated, (if i just put bud on a sandwich would it work?)
2. would a simple recipe such as heating in a microwave for around 15 seconds stink up the house?
3. how much herb do you need to consume to reach a high
4. and lastly, how much stronger is the high?
thanks for helping out a beginner guys, peace :hippy:enjoicairo Reviewed by enjoicairo on . some basic questions hey guys, i've been smoking for a reasonable amount of time, almost a year now, but lately, i've wanted to try cooking. i've recently heard of a recipe where you simply place bud over cheese on a rits and microwave, and a recipe like this seems reasonable, but before i try cooking simple recipes, i have some questions 1. do the cannabinoids need to be heat activated, (if i just put bud on a sandwich would it work?) 2. would a simple recipe such as heating in a microwave for around 15 Rating: 5

Heating the weed transformes this THCA in THC (the one which gets you high), thus increasing (sometimes greatly) its potency.
The other reason is that the THC must be solved in fat to be better absorbed by the body. So when you mix the bud with the cheese and heat it, the cheese melts, and this molten cheese mixes with the weed and absorbs its THC. Yet if the cheese were not molten, it wont mix well enough with the weed.
One very important thing is that the weed must be ground as fine as possible, to help to maximize the THC absorption by the cheese.

2. not reely...i heat weed in the microwave all the time and it only starts to stink when you drying lots ov it at once...iv never worried about the smell when cooking
3.i would say a bit more than you would normally put in a joint or bowl per person
