Usually first time smokers either don't get high (or THINK they didn't get high) or they get way too high.

I kind of did both the first time. A freind and I smoked some, and neither of us thought we were high, but looking back on it and how were were interacting with other people, we clearly were plenty high. We just didn't recognize the feeling because we weren't familair with it --- it didn't feel like being drunk or anything else we were familair with.

So we went and smoked some more --- still didn't FEEL high. Smoked some more --- still not high. Smoked almost everything we had --- gave up on getting high and hopped in the car. The next thing I know, it's like I was waking up from a dream and I felt really, reeeeeally long, like my legs were a mile long. Then my hands felt really big. Then I was spinning end over end and my vision was all screwed up. I was yelling at my friend, "Oh my God, my feet are so far away!" And he was yelling back, "Just shut the hell up! You're freaking out and you're freaking ME out!" while he was driving along about 5 miles per hour with his faced pulled up so that he was peering through the steering wheel. We pulled over and just sat there, listening to the radio, and every song was so weird, like I was hearing them for the first time. It was hours before we could drive home.

So it is possible not to get high at all. And it is possible to not understand the feeling and think you are not high when you actually are high. And it is possible to get more high than you will ever feel again in your life.
