Fake RooR!?!?

Jeez, whouda thunk it that RooRs I suppose now are subject to counterfeit, particularly in the NYC area...

Apparent ways to spot RooR counterfeits are:

-Trademark symbol appears above logo
-Logo R's point left rather than right (reversed)
-Shoddy joint weld and logo placement.

Apparently Shisha International in the Village (Where I was going to buy a RooR tomorrow) is guilty of selling fake hurricanes and RooRs.

Please post your particular experiences with shops that you may have heard of or seen this in, this shit shouldn't go tolerated!

But uh, feel free to PM me with a place to buy a legit RooR at your local nyc headshop :rastasmoke::smokebong:

dammit I bought a roor from there! although that was a while ago, around 2 months after this post was made. Im just commenting now because I found out RooR.us is closing its doors, so no more roors in America anywhere

ehh if Shisha got bootlegs expect the same from all the middle eastern and tattoo shops lol.. and that's the extent of the choices of where to shop in the area basically..

Personally if it looks cool it is good for me, not much into the brand name, I've looked at the Roors in the area but didn't even wanna ask the price.. saw a cool water pipe in one of those cheesy lil shops in nyc, had red gold and green stripes on it.. Just wanted to know the price of it (didn't have the cash on me) ended up having the price dropped by 50 bux for me cuz they didn't understand I just wanted to know the price not buy it haha

By the way, i remember something from a few years back about Roor, something like Roors outside of Germany aren't the same as what U can get in the states or on the web.. , may be what ur hearing bout?

I know a shop down the road that sells shitty roor knock off's for like 100$ .

Put those beside a real roor from Germany.. and the difference is night and day.

yup no more for Roor US, which is a good thing, ever since roor US opend the quality went down drastcaly. With the exception of the custom work don at roor US, the rest was garbage. It was so bad, RooR DE was calling ROOR US peices counterfeit. because of the shity quality. and yes their are thousands of ROOR nockoffs, but most are not a hundred bucks most are priced the same prices as roors or more. could you imagine buying a $900 custom or little sista, and finding out it is fake, I dont know about you but at that point it is time to geehad against the store that you got it at.

the roor US closing is very controversal, but richard from roor US was a assbag, so I knew it was coming. the only bummer is now artist like ANtho of ROOR US gotta move eles where, but now they are gonna make other names bigger becaseu of their good work that they do.

again Richard your an ASSBAG, if you took care of your own you would not have been shut out by your own.
