Nah, it's all just coincidental. There are similar legends regarding the Lincoln and Kennedy assassinations, and other historical events.

Yeah it reminds me of The Bible Code thing. I remember on the History Channel they picked a random book (Moby Dick) and "magically" found a whole shit load of messages and number patterns that could be considered religious and important.

I call coincidence.
