ny grow journal, need slight assistance (pics inside)

ok my plants are about a month old now maybe a little bit better, one pot that i have 2 of them in looks like they have some nitrogen deficiency. i say this because of the yellow leaves a bunch of them have fallen of as well, the other pot is doing pretty good but is now showing little signs of yellowing as you can see.

i cant tell if this is too much water or nitrogen deficiency, it hasnt rained for like 3 or 4 days now and i havent watered to much to be sure any help or any feedback would be awesome thanks:jointsmile:

im not an expert but i think you may have to move one of the plants to a seperate pot as they wil be competing for root space.....but like i said im not an expert and this year is my first grow

i def. plan to move them out of the same pot, there still young so im leaving them together there barely a foot for the tallest one i dont think the roots getting tangled makes the leaves turn yellow it just doesnt let the plant continue to grow bigger, in this case mine has so far.

it looks like your growing in mostly wood chips?? Looks more like overwatering/bad growing medium with little nutrients

Check the pH of the runoff next time you water. That soil looks very heavy too.
What are you feeding them? They need a complete fertilizer. You might also want to add more drainage in the pots- that helps with soil chemistry.
Also, decomposing wood chips/sawdust are bad for potted plants. I can't remember where I read the explanation, but I seem to recall a mention that decomposing wood actually scavenges N from the surrounding soil. I can't remember, but either way it's not good for young plants in pots. Save the mulch for older, established garden plants with good root systems.

thank you very much stinky, you have helped me out a bunch on past grows. the woodchips came with the soil i used but ill try and take them out i used the miracle grow soil with the 3 month of nutrients for young plants.. also i dont have anything to check the ph drainage to them i can do just gotta think of how i might just transplant them into another pot with some rocks ay the bottom then sand and dirt

Don't use rocks or sand; just worry that the pot has NICE BIG DRAIN HOLES! That's what your plants want the most. And make sure the soil is very light. I'd add some extra perlite when you mix it up, to help it drain better.
If you don't have a pH meter, I hate to sound like a spokesperson for Canna and Botanicare, but the Canna Terra and Botanicare Pure Blend nute systems are buffered so that you don't have to adjust the pH as carefully. Be sure to flush out all that miracle grow chemmy fert though, because your plants look locked out already. I'd go with a plain non-fertilized potting soil, bagged compost, or promix cut with perlite by up to 30%.

alright i guess imn not gonna use rocks and sand anymore lol. i just took most of the wood chips out and i also just fed it with 15-30-15 nutrients to try and throw some nitrogen back in there its the only thing i have gotta get more materials. i hope you stick with this grow journal because you have helped me a lot in the past i had such a nice grow last year and some fuck stole it and i fucked his eye up pretty good lol
