CO2 enrichment
Hey there, I have a hydrofarm CO2 setup, just wondering if my numbers are correct. I have 50 cubic feet in my grow room, and if I want to raise it up to 1500 I would need to do 50*.0012which is .06...
Here's what I've set things to, fan on for 15 min, off for 3, during that three, for 15 seconds the valve will turn on at just about the lowest possible setting (.06 hopefully!)
does this sound right?
Oh and my fan is running at 210 CFM, so in my head the air would exchange about 4 times a minute... and if that's so, how is this helping my plants? wouldn't it all just get sucked out?
Sorry for the chaotic writing... I'm just confused and the whole thing seems quixoticzlessley Reviewed by zlessley on . If your room isn't completely sealed then CO2 is not doing much help for you..Just a thought. If your exhaust is sucking air out then your room may not be sealed?

No, not sealed, but if you have hot lamps going, how CAN you? I have a grow tent (the 50 cubic feet) and it's pretty well sealed (light proof) but it has enough ventilation to let the fan work as an exhaust... How can I do this enrichment right with my setup?

CO2 enrichment
Second best thing is to just make sure your fans are off before inducing the carbon..Usually higher temps work well for carbon consumption so the 80 degree tempatures wont be a problem. Let the fans remain off until ppm drop and then repeat the process according to your schedule! Hope this helps:thumbsup:
The thing is to get the carbon trapped in for as long as possible without letting your temps get out of control. Air cooled lights work well with the tent setups as long as the air is coming out of the tent. (setting your lights up so that the ventilation comes in one duct across the lights and out the other duct without ever exchanging air within the tent.) Then setting up a seperate exhaust for when you are in between your carbon stages.

Ah, that's what I figured, I have a compugas system (probably their 1st version, it's pretty old) that turns the fans off for about three minutes... I'm going to turn the fan off and have a digital thermometer by the plants to see when the heat is too much. That'll be my cycle time.
Is my dosage ok? more or less CO2?
Thanks!
