    Starting outdoor beginning of July??

Hello fellow stoners. I had a question for those of you experienced with outdoor grows. My bud wants to know is it possible to throw some seeds down in the ground at the beginning of july and be able to pull a decent harvest in october. his strains are hashberry and speed queen from Mandala. I was under the impression that he needs to start indoors and let them go about 3 weeks before taking them outside. But I don't know anything about outdoor grows

    Starting outdoor beginning of July??

Plants trigger about the 21st of July..This means your friend has only a few days for veg. Depending upon where you are your flower times are different. If you are in the South then you have a little longer flower period. If you are up North you would be pushing it planting something this late. You will get something in the end. Maybe a quarter to and ounce per plant. Sorry can't be more specific but too many variables.

Sounds like you will have until about the first week of october.. This is good enough to get an ounce off of a vigorous indica which it sounds like you have. So you just want to germinate and follow same steps as you do indoors. Just make sure you put in a pot of good soil instead of the ground. Make sure you place somewhere the plants get as much daylight as possible and place protection against rodents around your babies..
You will probably get somewhere close to about an ounce for each female. Happy growing!!!:stoned:

    Starting outdoor beginning of July??

I have 2 plants and one is about 5 weeks old, and is maybe a foot tall with 4 pretty well developed leaves on top but the lower 2 are kinda dead, and the other is probably 4 weeks old and is half a foot tall with a good set of leaves. Will these plants reach full maturity before flowering would start in Michigan, and how good of a yield would I be looking at per female?

I am sure this comes up every year it would be cool if there was a zone map with a basic cut off date for starting plants outside. I understand that there are a huge set of variables (strain, light, soil, blah blah) but there has to be a basic date say for a NY'er to not waste his seeds and efforts.

Arkansas is about the same lattitude as where I am. I think early July is about as late as I will go but it can be done but you won't as much of a yield as you would if you had starter earlier. You'll want to find a grow spot that gets as much direct sun as of course that kills any stealth you may need.... I usually will put my seedlings out once they have their second leaves which is probably too early but it works for me.

    Starting outdoor beginning of July??

Our growing season as of recent years has gone until 1st or 2nd week of October.
I understand that a plant would not have much time to grow veg. but is it possible to produce mature bud. I understand the quantity would be limited by the size of the plant.
