Bummer......so I
Deja I'm honestly not sure......I remember when I burned mine with molassas I had to jump around for days to get the plants back in order.....the ph went haywire if I recall and just kept rising like mad. Mine didn't really droop or anything though.....just the ph went through the roof and I had to watch and adjust it several times a day.
How long has it been since you started the treatment and does the plant look any different at all yet? I'd like to say you should at least START to see it perk back up fairly quick.....within a day or so for sure.

That's never happened to me w/ sucanat before Deja ,
Does your sys. recirculate ? If I remenber right you do have tonsa air already so that isn't the problem .
When I add it I put in 1tsp. per gallon of water , I take 1 gal. of hot water in a milk jug and add the sucanat to it and shake the hell out of it so it's way disolved right from the start .
How do you mix it up?
Peace bro.

Crispi - I mixed it according to that method you just mentioned here and in the previous thread. It went alright last time I used it, and the only difference I can think is that my res temps are about 5 degrees higher due to it being summer now, but I don't know if that would be enough to cause that much damage.
WH - I put the sucanat in Friday night I believe, and ran into too much stuff to do and forgot to check on it Saturday and then discovered it Sunday, so it was about 3 days. The res had a lot of foam this morning but not much slime on the roots. The roots are really thick and hardy rather than little stringy ones I usually have so they didn't fall off during the slime removal process. Hopefully they can turn back around for the final 2.5 weeks.

Well after 2 days, it is doing no better and might actually be getting worse. The weird thing is that there has been no slime or anything in the res and the roots look alright, but the leaves keep curling and drooping more as the days go by. I tried to get some more slime out yesterday but there was really none to be found. The roots are really hardy and thick and unslimed, so I am really confused as to why there has been no turn around. In fact, I think they she looked worse yesterday than the day before when we first got her out of the slime. I was really hoping it would turn around but I think I might just have to harvest two weeks early because it just keeps looking worse and worse.

I am really pissed that I fucked this up so late in the cycle. Next time, I am just going to forgo the sucanat and just feed straight nutes because it was doing exceptionally well on nutes alone. I guess I just got greedy. Live and learn I suppose.

Deja I'm SO SORRY to hear that. What mistake did you make when you added that made such a difference do you think?
Deja what has your ph been with all this going on?

What is the highest temps they saw - ambient air temp , and nute souloution temps ? PH Hi / Lo also ?
Last time I waterd here I used tapwater and just sucanat because I've been flushing for a while . I checked PH before and after the sucanat was added and saw no chg. in PH ?
I have seen the slight white foam on top in my res. too , but w/ my system - once a day I shut valves n let all my nute soloution collect in the big res. and use a 18volt dewalt drill on high w/ a 5 gal. buck paint mixer to mix soloution up before chkin or adj. PH . My doing this mighta kept mine from going stag ?
Was there any foul smells ?

My air temp is usually from 82-89 and the res temps are usually 75-77. I realize this is a tad high but it has been that way since day 1 of flower and did not have any problems up until I added the sucanat. My pH was normal, around 5.7-5.3 until I discovered the nastiness when it was 5.0. The only foul odor was from when I first found it, but everything is pretty normal now aside from my plant dying.
It looked horrible this morning so I am planning on cutting it down tonight. The leaves are all dead and dried up, turned brown, etc. In other words, I think its completely dead. It sucks, but oh well I guess. I will definitely get it completely right next time.

I ended up with 3.75 oz of 5.5 week old bud. Makes me sad to think what the final yield could have been if I hasn't killed it. The bud tastes pretty green but provides a pretty decent buzz, so it will at least hold me over for the next 8 weeks. Starting a new flower on Friday.
