The genetics are the same whether it's kept short, or allowed to develop.
If you pull the lights closer, transplant into final pot a week before switching to 12/12, use a MH bulb when first switching to 12/12, and restrict nitrogen just prior to switching...your internode spacing should tighten-up, making it a tad stockier. The further the secondary buds are from the light, the more they'll stretch, the loser the bud, and the trichomes won't be as mature as the ones closest to the light.

So once again my problems lead back to my water situation(and still do because I am still experiencing restrictions that wouldn't bee there if I had a good unlimited supply of water available to me). My water supply affected everything to the point where I was spending money and time treating things that didn't need attention to try and make up fo r the things I couldn't provide.
Do you by chance know the ph of the snow? Or the general hardness? Or the contaminates in the snow? I'm guessing that with all those plants, a Britta filter is out of the question...but a R/O hooked-up to the bottom of a 40 gallon trash can, (using an aquarium bulkhead) or something similar might help. I'm pretty sure there would be enough water pressure at the bottom, to drive the R/O filters.

And, have you tried an aquariom heater (100w - $20.00 or so) to melt the snow?
