"The Secret" Works for Weed!

I read the book and own the movie and I am a firm believer in "The Secret" because MMJ comes to me, even when I don't have money! As long as I focus on happy feelings about marijuana, I receive more in return!

I suggest everybody either read the book or see the movie... The marijuana will cometh!

The Secret works for anything... IF you belive, of course.
And thats the secret of the secret... The secret of the secret is not knowing what is the secret, but believing in it.

I used up all my Secret karma points when living in Hawaii...
If I wasn't using it for getting free food, I was using it for weed.

There was even this really awesome spot I could hang at, and a few times during the day people would come through with weed and smoke me out if I was there.

Also being a good friend to people is key. I'd get torn between multiple sessions at the same time lol

Good Christ, The Secret has become such a religion now that everybody believes in it and nobody questions it. They start with a theory losesly based on quantum and conventional physics, then make a string of assertions with diddly-squat to back them up.

My favorite was when they say "some people think this couldn't work because there isn't enough wealth to go around. But here's the secret: There is enough!"
next person: "There is enough!"
next person: "There really is enough!"
next person: "There is, enough!"


That about sets the tone for the whole movie. They speak their assertions adamently, convincingly, and with great possitivity; so sure that they know it's right, it must be! And we can back it up with evidence! Entirely anecdotal, easily made-up evidence, that probably relies on cherry picking possitively-thinking people who got lucky.


Don't buy into the latest fad just because believing in it comes with promises of grandiose solutions to all the world's problems. In that case you might as well just pick up some religion's mythology and believe in that. Things are almost (or entirely) always a scam when you have to believe in it to work, because then if it doesn't work, you've engrained belief in your mind to override logic; interpreting everything that happens, success or no, so that it matches up to your preconceptions.

The whole point of the secret and all other visualization techniques for manifestation is to increase visualization skills. Visualization was used by all the great thinkers. The ability to imagine something into reality. Einstein imagined riding on beams of light and Tesla imagined the whole world lit up by electricity.

Go forward twenty years in your mind and imagine what amazing technological advances there are in all fields and even new ones. You never know you might end up finding out how to get there.

Actually, I do not know anything about The Secret, so I should not ridicule it. But generally I'm with Gandalf on these kinds of things --- very sceptical.

I agree completly! And i dont mean it as a joke, as Dragonrider does. I mean seriously.

While it may actually sound very absurd (i know it does), there is some truth behind all this. Of course it is not like they explain in the movie, or in the book. They do indeed some questionable (to say the VERY least) interpretations of quantum mechanics, but unfortunately its usual in all this "new age" stuff.

Anyway, the main point is: visualizating a thing you wish that happen actually increases the chances of it happen.

Now i have to call a quantum mechanics interpretaion called "the many worlds interpretation". Just remember that im a physicist, so im not making a naive or misguided interpretation of quantum mechanics.

This many worlds interpretaion says that there is infinite "parallel" universes, where all the possibilities of all the events are there. Like, lets say i throw a coin. It can be heads or tails. In our universe, it only can be one of this options. Well, what the many-worlds interpretation states is that there are two universes: in one of them the coin choosed heads, and in the other it choosed tails. But as we only can percieve one universe, we percieve that the coin choosed one of the options.
And this is valid for all the possible choices of all particles of all atoms, etc... so in fact there are kazillions of parallel universes, with all the possible outcomes of all possible choices.

Note the important role of our perception. All the possible possibilities exist, they are there. But only the ones that we actually percieve are the ones that seems "real" for us.

When you visualize a thing and wish it become true, youre in fact creating a "goal" to where your perception must go. Or, in other worlds, youre choosing which possible parallel universe you want to "go" to. (The one where the thing youre visualizing becomes true).

And what makes you reach this universe? The choices. Imagine youre in a plain with lots and lots of forking paths, and youre walking through any of them. Imagine youre somewhere and want to arrive somewhere else. If you know the direction of where you want to arrive, at each fork in the path you can choose the right way to go, to arrive where you want to.
And its the same with the visualization. The visualization is like choosing where you want to arrive at. And then, if you have the goal clearly depicted in your mind, it will choose always the right choices to assure that you reach whatever you visualized.

Thats why most people who uses this secret talks about incredible good luck, or being at the right place in the right time, or unusual coincidences, things like this. Cause they were the right choices, and led them to the desired results.

I hope it can be "understandable" enough... i have a very clear picture of how it works in my mind, but rendering it in words and translating to english is really not easy. So, if there was anything unclear, feel free to ask! :thumbsup:
