I'm confused and stoned...

...Why would you have to "bump up" your tap water? I use 7.3 ph well water in MG Moisture Control soil and stay at 6.8 ph....

and how would you "bump it up"?
Dutch Pimp Reviewed by Dutch Pimp on . How should I apply my lime? Hello , I'm having trouble keeping my soil's (FFOF) PH from dropping, last time my water going in was 8.5 and runoff was 6.5-6.6. So whats the best plan of attack? I've read I can disolve 1 gal of waterand1tbsp of dolimte lime and this should buffer it. is this right? thanks forgot to mention I did not amend my soil with lime. but have learned me lesson!
