I like REM but dont think one of the best bands ever.Pretty mellow i liked them much more a few yrs ago.

Like with a lot of bands, I liked their older stuff much better. They were really goodup to the release of Automatic for the People. In fact, I have all their albums up to that point, Murmur, Life's Rich Pageant, Fables of the Reconstruction, etc... They're really good albums, but again, they aren't legends by any means

They're all right, but I wouldn't say they're one of the best bands.
