Hey guy, I'm a first time grower and am wondering about using LEDs to help my blooming. I have changed my floros (4 cfls and 2 48") over to 12/12 two weeks ago and all I'm getting is stretch. I ordered 1 of the red led panels from ebay (it has 225 leds) and am wondering if that will help.

I am also thinking of going to strickly LED's in a grow tent once I get my MMJ card. I'm currently growing in a closet and have to vent with door open at night (when lights are on). LEDs would remove the heat issue.

thanks luna we get it dry pretty quick and its f'n awesome...I must warn you that the thric pics so far pale in comparison to what #4's will look like when she finally shows her amber.

lucky, if its the 45w panel it will prob. help. id change most of your cfls to 2700k and hang some of them below the canopy, as you have so many. this will help with the stretching. check the "Cannabis FAQ" button at the top of the page and you will find tons to help, start with "super cropping":thumbsup:

If you plan to use all led for a grow tent, youll need to step up from the 5mm if you want to be happy with a personal medical grow IMO. They can be DIYed if you know electronics rather well or buy one of the many arrays out on the market featuring high-power LEDs(1W or more each LED). Either way its pricey so plan well if your in that situation.

10 weeks tomorrow, and some still not done...GRRRRRRRRRRR Patience is a virtue, lol. Got my 420scope, and there are some amber, but not even 10%...Hopefuly this week.....

WT & DB, do you fellas have a LOWES in your area.. I was at Lowes and saw something that made me think of you 2 and yer green girls. They had 70 watt HPS's for either 25 or 29 clams can't remember I was kinda high as usual.. I almost bought a couple myself to though on the veg side of the house. just thought I'd pass the word.
