if youre building an array, the guys in The perfect LED grow light could possibly help you. they know tons of info about all the angles, there is a bit of discussion going on in there but just ask a ? and im sure they'll know(lol...realized you just asked for a distance measurement, gee real technical db...lol...laughing at myself:jointsmile

dear sns, i have gone over all the posts on led's especially the procyon 100. I am very confused!!!!!????? LOL, I have never grown before and will be making my first attempt soon. it was tough, but i got some awsome fem seeds! i live in big city, and wattage and heat are a problem, after much research i just said f-it! and bought 2 procyons. damn they are bright! any special tips so i don't botch this up! i know i am new on here, but was hoping you could awnser a few questions for me? obviously i don't expect much of you time-looks like you are BUSY! lol,,,i would love to have plants like those! i will list some questions, if you wouldn't mind just a simple awnser back, i would apperciate your imput since you are one of the few i could find with this info. example:
do you recommened 18 or 24 veg with the procyon? (just write 18 or 24)?

what about supplementing hps light for flowering good or bad? y/n
(my idea was to have a 250 watt hps in the middle and the 2 procyons on the sides angled inward)
3rd
keep the lights close to plants? or the recommended 24 inches?

did you use less water because of less heat? or did they suck it up pretty good?
5th
can I grow some choice nugs with led's particually the procyon 100?

You can, but we didn't supplement at all, and got great results

Stsy between 12 to 16 inches

Definitely water less often, usually 2 times a week, depending on pot size

thanks for joining in the group:thumbsup: lookie there " after much research i just said f-it! and bought 2 procyons." you sound like I did last year...lol. no problem with the ?s, were here to help(mostly...).

we tried both and id say 18 or maybe 20

im sure supplementing will help, more light is more light, just remember w/ the 2 procyons and the 250 your at 500+ watts plus the ballast and the heat from both. not saying dont do it but keep in mind as those were two of your concerns

depending on your strains tendency to stretch, and how wide of an area your covering, id say 14" to 18" in veg and in full flower can be lowered quite a bit, say 8-12". just watch em in veg and check that the leaves arent "bubbling", if so raise the light a few inches.

Less watering for sure. avg 5 days between as the plants dont transpire as much so the keep there water longer. *IMPORTANT* make sure to get the perilite ratio of your soil around 35%. you need very good drainage in your pots. oh and drill holes, lots of big ones.

and as far as your last ? youve seen the posts but here they are, dank as hell. first grow was all procyon and got some resin covered delights. we'll be doing that again in a bit when we get the mommy situation figured out.
