So you would deffinitely use it for a veg on ur moms???

cuz I', thinking that + 2x 600HPS... right nowI've got 1k MH.. which is awesome... covers 6x8 room plus babies on the outskirts... but I need to optimise my wattage and for that I need a seperate mom/veg and a propper flower room... maybe some light movers too....

sorry.. that ended up being a book... just got some wickid sativa and my mind is racing

oh even with all the red....with a lil fox farm..the procyons exploded the veg growth for sure...definitely a good mum light....we had a 18 in plant with 8 laterals, and only tipped once...LEDs are great for veg all around...just recently they have gotten the flowering good...so in my sativa induced mind as well...i say for moms, a single procyon can do 4x4 very well

wt i know you werent sure before, cant remember if you had decided--are you going LST or scrog on these? im doing a procyon grow too (your first log convinced me) in a 2.5'x2.5'x5.5' room and i think im gonna try LST. so i will be watching to see what you choose and how it turns out.

I have been reading about LEDs as grow lights for a while and I can't seem to find leds that cover the proper spectrum. As far as I can tell, photosynthesis peaks at 2 ranges: 660-680 nm and about 430-470 nm. The Procyon light uses Cree lamps if I'm not mistaken and they seem to be able to cover the blue end but not the red. Am I wrong or should the Procyon be supplemented?

Also, has anyone tried using the arrays of low power leds sold on ebay?

LED Engin sells a 10w 660nm red LED.....the procyons are 635 I believe...its still above 90% absorbtion...the 660s are just too expensive....least they were, getting cheaper now....hint hint HGL...lets see a Procyon 2.0....lol

update....
culled 4...the other 2 churches didnt make it..oh well...the one that popped is on here second set of leaves, with everyone else...and they are FAT little leaflets!!
the other 2 culls where BR..didnt wanna lose those, but for some reason, they sprouted, and shriveled without opening their cotyledons...just a stem and a ball..minus hull....made sure the film from inside the seed was off, and it was...so not sure what happened there...
ALL the others are doing GREAT...they may get a transplant to the 1gals on 7-10 days...except the church, she gets a 3 gal.....lol, may be forcing her to hermie....but defintely breeding her, may use some of her chick pollen on a SNL too....hmmmmm
anyways...alls good in the hood....

hey again there whiskey tango. sorry i never went ahead with that grow log but life was just gettin in the way to much......but..........
just as i heard ya mention the 660s, i had been designing a lamp and was goin assemble it for my own grow but as i said earlier, just no time. so i'm havin a guy who does assembly to lay it all down nice on pcb and i'm gonna put it all in a nice lil case with a coolin fan as i'll be consuming about 280W. gonna get a friend to do a grow with it as soon as i've got it as i like it (gettin it as good as i can cause its a nice time consuming hobby at the moment) but i'll try persuade him to post in here. it's gonna have about 9 different frequencies dont have em all with me but its gonna have 60w of 660:thumbsup:
anyhow great to hear the beans have hatched.
