Please help me with a stereo!!
Our little Onkyo bookshelf stereo had the clicking/popping when we tuned it, meaning changed the radio station. If it has a mechanical dial, it's usually because dust and/or static have gotten in there on the workings. You can try pulling off the knob and blowing some of that compressed, canned air on there to blow the dust off. Also do the same thing on your plugs and speaker connections or wipe them off with a lint free cloth dampened with a little rubbing alcohol.
Dave Byrd Reviewed by Dave Byrd on . Please help me with a stereo!! I'm sure there are some of you who know about stereos. My problem is that the speakers keep clicking now when I turn the receiver on. I would hit the back of the stereo and it would be fine, than it goes back to the popping. I've done this for a week and still it keeps popping. I'm wondering if there is a problem with the receiver or the speakers themselves and what I can do about it. Can anyone help me? I don't have the money to get it fixed right now but I will later on. Rating: 5
