I'm a little confused about maintaining mothers.

Are mothers just seperate plants that are kept in the vegetative stage always and you just take clones from them when ever you need them?

but of course it won't work with auto-flowering strains so watch what you order, if this is a concern...

I've had succes in keeping autoflowering strains going by keeping them under light 24/7.
They do start to autoflower but if your patient (I mean real patient) and keep them on a growth diet they do eventualy break out of that cycle.
Mine took over a year of this but now i get new growth and can now take clones and saved the breed.(even the original breeder doesnt have seeds for this breed anymore)
The breed finishes outdoors by mid-august... no wonder i wanted to save the breed...lol

OK,enough of me babling...(damn this weed is good )
