FWIW, my Tundra is very comfortable to drive, is very well mannered, gets good milage on regular gas(for a truck that routinely has 1,000 in the back of it), and has lots of room in it for my HAM radio toys too. Thus far in the 3 years that I have owned this truck, I have put 90,000 miles on it without incident, or any problems. It has been on a cross country trip, and was excellent. Fortunately, I don't need anything that carries more than 2 people right now... my kids are both grown and in college, and I am not afflicted with spouse. My cat allows me to stay as long as I feed him and keep his box clean.
I am saving my $$$ for one of these for terrorizing the back roads.. http://www.uscaterham.com/images/gal...tos/wp3-hr.jpg

which car to get?
if it was me buying a car here and i had like ten grand to spend on a car. i'd buy a big old boat like a 68 chrysler, 4 door, dual exhaust, posi rear end, dark blue with blue interior, mp3 player in the glove box, with a nice big 440ci in it. Gas prices are terrible, i can see that but seriously, don't go through all the trouble of buying a 3 cyl hatchback or something like that just because you wanna save coin at the gas station. Its worth it to drive something you really want and like.

I carry high limits on my truck ($100k/$300k liability, $50k uninsured motorist, comprehensive, collision, emer road service, and ZERO deductable on my glass), and I like only having to pay $62/month for insurance. You can do as you wish, but my wallet and I are happy where we are at.
