    which car to get?

I agree! I would go for the M/T if it were me! subarus are cool, but not what she needs thats for sure.
This car will be so far from rice it's not even funny. She just wants it to look nice, none of that all-show, no-go stuff. Plus I wouldn't support ricing it anyway, I drive an 88 GT fox 5.0, it's all about domestic for me. All throttle, No bottle. (yes...yes gas sucks but I have a few options)

A prius was her first choice, but it was 5 months until she got it, and not only that but once the guy asked us how much more we'd be willing to pay over msrp we walked. I guess whoever pays more gets it sooner...what a load.

Stinky: that is funny! but not because what it is, but because i'm actually going to get one! lol they kick ass! I zipped all around downtown ATL on one..after that I was sold on it.
Twentyinches Reviewed by Twentyinches on . which car to get? Ok, my gf is trying to decide which car to buy. It's between a bran new white Civic EX 4 door or.. a bran new white Toyota Corolla S 4 door. Either of them will get tinted windows and most likely 17'' rims. and both are a/t. Rating: 5

Wait a year and see what happens with gas prices. It may be that we are all driving mules next year...

I think the Corolla would be a better choice.

Or you could advise her to wait until 2010: EcoGeek - Technology for the Environment

They both have great resale. Either one is a good choice although people love Toyota's you will have NP selling a used toyo and they are indistuctible...

The Japs are so good @ taking our product refining them to be better and put there tags on them.....

    Good Luck

I would take the honda, but the toyota is a nice car also...

what about scion? I had a little XB, bought it brand new, and just sold it, and made money. That is unherd of.

    Scion numbers

bought it 1-6-05 put 2k worth of extras on it total financed was 16,500

drove it 54000 miles in 3 years, Took amazing care of it, mobil 1 oil and such.

owed 9400 on it, and sold it for 11400.

it was a nice little car, but that was a 16k car for 11k. I wanted a 40k car for 11k.

I did just buy a 2001 Volvo V70 T5 40,400 dollar car for 11000 bucks with 58000 miles on it. 2.3l with a HP turbo putting out 11.7lbs of boost <<<< sick

Just drove it back and forth from Denver to San deigo it averaged 26.6 mpg @ 83 mph average with the air conditioning on.

260hp geting 27 mpg now that is sweet.....

    I get 21 mpg on the interstate in a 3/4 ton truck with a 245hp 4.0L V-6... 27 mpg in a 260hp turbo Volvo doesn't impress me.

Mine is a Black wagon with blacked out windows, and 17 inch stock wheels, with 7 inch wide screen, DVD players headrests, with game system, and head phones. It is super cool. It cant haul a couch but it can haul ass, and a family of 4 across the country in total comfort. If I want a truck ill use my Izuzu NPR, or my toyota landcruiser anyway.

what car do you jump in, to buzz around town?

btw around here people dont brag about having a truck with a V-6, but since you are from mississippi, ill give you a pass

Toyotas are even more reliable then Hondas, in my opinion. I've owned both. Both are excellent cars and will last a very, very long time. Honda parts are just more expensive, and I think they tend to go a little sooner then the Toyotas.

You can't go wrong with either brand though.
