Humidity!!!!
Hey All,
Well with the onset of summer temps my RH levels are coming up to as much as 67%,sometimes more! My room is approx 24sqft,8x8x2.5ft?.Lit with a 600hps,12''oscillating fan with 8''rvk exhaust and scrubber.I also have an 8'' rvk for intake-but its not switched on as temps dont go over 85.
So,the qustion is,what would work better at getting the humidity down-Switching the intake on or,joining both rvk's inline with 4'' duct, then the scrubber on the end of it all. Will this 'double' my exhaust or doesn't it work like that ? Thanks in advance,RM.
P.S,I posted this here as I didnt know where to post it,and it is potentialy a 'plant problem'rastaman79 Reviewed by rastaman79 on . Humidity!!!! approx 24sqft,8x8x2.5ft?.
anyways...a de-humidifier is the best way to go...if you can swing it... As long as the source of air for the intake is humid...you have problems.

Yeah... What Dutch said. If the source of intake air is humid then doubling the exhaust wont really help. You need a de-humidifier, they are a lil pricey, around $100, but will help significintly.

Humidity!!!!
Ive started running the intake fan now and its down to 51% so I'll just have to keep an eye on it.I'll pick up a small dehumidifier when I get some spare pennies. Question? On small D/H the res's are only small,so would it be ok to put a pipe on the outlet and the other end in my res, thus never havin to empty the dehumidifier? Thanks all,RM.

Perhaps you went to the wrong AA meetings. Personally, I went to 12 years of 'em all over the country, and the ones I used to attend...flip and funny were common. But you could always tell the assholes. They were the ones unnecessarily and inappropriatelly correcting everyone elses' sobriety.
Not that I'm calling YOU an asshole, but how about going off-topic in your own thread next time...?
edit: LolllololoLollolLollollol...I just saw your sig...How appropriate.
"it's better to keep your mouth shut and let people think your an asshole, rather than opening your mouth and removing all doubt"

Who gives a shit? How'd you know im not an alchoholic? Ive had the same signature for as long as Ive been on here, and you two are the only anal people to EVER comment on it,if it upsets you...Good.If you've had problems with addiction before, dont you think you should leave the weed alone too?

Funny thing is, the more you defend yourself, the more I'm convinced that you've already had both, the bottle and the lobotomy. Perhaps there's deeper issues you are working your way thru. Whatever.
It appears, in print, you are being a tad immature. You put crap you have no idea the true meaning of in your signature, then cry like a little girl when confronted. (and like a little boy when chided.) If you have a problem with recovering alcoholics, perhaps a little sobriety, or a couple fewer rocks of crack per day would do you some good, too.
And no, cannabis doesn't cause the problems alcohol does. Cannabis doesn't cause me to disregard the feelings and accompolishments of those that have had the strength to change the direction of their lives. Unlike some folks in here that choose to bash folks in recovery, I celebrate their inner strength and ability to grow.
Being sober changes ones views of their surroundings, and the optical rectitis dissapates over time.
Luckily, so do the memories of an alcoholic father. (does he still have to register...?)

This is just foolish.
We are all adults here. If you are insulted by a siggy, it IS possible to ask politely for it to be re-worded. Instead, we now have 3 members at each others' throats, throwing insults around.
Since we don't encourage talk of other drugs here, including alcohol, I'd actually be delighted to see a different sig, but I'm not going to hit delete on it.
CLOSED FOR BUSINESS.
Grrrrr.
