I've been told I need a silica supplement too.....growing with a CMH bulb by a very knowledgeable source. I don't know anything about "silica blast" either.

Is vermiculite a source for silica?
Dutch Pimp Reviewed by Dutch Pimp on . Silica Blast Q's... Curious if anyne has tried Silica Blast? (Botanicare) I grow in the desert, and thought I'd give it a try. Now that I've got it, not sure I want to try during the grueling summer months. I do have a working system, but am always looking to improve. Out of the bottle it's 10.1 ph. I already use ph Down (phosphoric acid) at 1 tsp:5 gallons water to cure 8.0 well water. Will have to further adjust a tad, but will this be a potential problem with phosphorous toxicity?
